From the earliest days of my childhood, the enchanting world of sail ships captured my imagination, igniting a passion that would shape my artistic journey. I found myself enthralled by the intricate beauty of these vessels, prompting me to create small paper models and vivid drawings even in my youth.
By the age of 15, my fascination evolved into a tangible expression of art. Despite facing a fracture in my right leg, I channeled my determination into crafting a 3D painting for my living room and adorning my stairwell with a hand-painted masterpiece. These early endeavors served as the foundation for a dream that had been patiently awaiting its moment.
The opportunity finally materialized in March 2020, when the world went into lockdown for several months. Seizing the chance, I delved into my storeroom, gathering the materials needed to breathe life into my vision. Talcum powder became my secret weapon, enabling me to achieve a flawlessly smooth finish. Over the course of four months, I meticulously constructed a lifelike sail ship, framed against the backdrop of a Swiss landscape, ensuring every detail was a testament to my dedication.
As the lockdown lifted, my home transformed into a gallery for family and friends. Their reactions were nothing short of awe-inspiring. A pivotal moment occurred when one of my brothers encouraged me to share my art beyond borders. This suggestion sparked a profound shift in my perspective, propelling me to assemble a team of artists for a grand project: crafting 12 unique pieces, each painstakingly detailed by hand, eschewing the convenience of laser cutting.
